Visit Burbank, Warner Bros. Discovery, and DC Unveil Larger-Than-Life Wonder Woman Statue
Visit Burbank, along with Burbank-based DC and Warner Bros. Discovery, have unveiled a seven-and-a-half-foot tall, 600-pound bronze statue of Wonder Woman in front of Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood at 3400 Warner Boulevard in Burbank’s Media District.
Two years in the making, the Wonder Woman statue represents the second in a series of Superhero icons funded by Visit Burbank to showcase the city as a leading tourism destination and to highlight Burbank as the “Media Capital of the World.” Wonder Woman’s companion statue, Batman, was inaugurated in November 2020 on the AMC Walkway in Downtown Burbank.
“Burbank’s newest resident is a symbol of justice and will forever stand in front of Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood,” said Burbank Mayor Konstantine Anthony. “As one of the world’s most beloved and iconic DC Superheroes of all time, I encourage everyone to experience this masterpiece and invite your friends to see the Warrior for Peace in person here in Burbank.”
The Wonder Woman statue is based on a design by acclaimed artist Jenny Frison and crafted by the skilled artisans at Burbank’s American Fine Arts Foundry and Fabrication.
To commemorate the unveiling, Visit Burbank in partnership with DC has reprinted a limited release of the comic book Wonder Woman: Agent of Peace, written by Burbank resident Amanda Diebert with art by Aaron Lopresti. The comic will be exclusively available via quarterly sweepstakes on Visit Burbank’s social media @visitburbank.
