The 51st annual Saturn awards will take place at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport on February 4th . The red carpet starts at 1:00pm and the awards ceremony starts at 4:00pm. Joel McHale (star of “Animal Control” and “Community”) will return as host.
The Saturn Awards is the official ceremony of The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. The Academy annually recognizes film and television artists who’ve created some of the best genre entertainment in the world.
The Academy was founded in 1972 under the leadership of Doctor Donald A. Reed, a noted film historian. The Academy honored Kurt Vonnegut with its first award. Since then, there have been 47 awards ceremonies.
This year, Keanu Reeves will be honored with the Lance Reddick Legacy Award which will be presented to him by Titus Welliver. Other awards to be presented that this year’s show include Christopher Nolan for the Visionary Award presented by Emily Blunt and Seth McFarland for the Robert Forster Artist’s Award presented by William Shatner.
