Hotel Amarano Renovates and Introduces New Thermal Technology
Hotel Amarano Burbank-Hollywood reemerges as Los Angeles’ latest luxury boutique hotel following a full-scale renovation to its lobby, public areas, guestrooms, meeting & event spaces, and a new bar and restaurant. The 132-room Hotel Amarano is a private sanctuary in the heart of Burbank’s Media District and surrounded by big name studios including The Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros. Studios.
Part of the hotel’s renovation includes an innovative thermal technology. The hotel has partnered with Inspectra Thermal Solutions (ITS) to bring a first-of-its-kind, non-invasive technology that reads body temperature upon entry to the hotel. Hotel Amarano is the first hotel in the United States to deploy this state-of-the-art infrared thermal imaging and fever detection system in partnership with ITS, elevating the hospitality industry standard for customer service, as well as guest and employee safety.
In addition to this new technology, Hotel Amarano has implemented enhanced and more frequent cleaning measures in response to COVID-19. Employees are well advised that they must stay home if they feel sick or unwell. All staff members are required to wear appropriate PPE at all times. No more than 9 people are allowed in the pool at one time. Housekeeping services are scheduled every third day, unless specifically requested. Contactless deliveries of amenities and other items are provided.
The hotel’s interior design and branding were created by Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA). A fictional host named Amara guides you through the new hotel as if it is her home. The result is a welcoming, Southern California retreat inspired by the history of Burbank, Old Hollywood mystique and the infamous Garden of Allah—a discrete, residential retreat frequented by Hollywood stars throughout the 1930s and 40s.
The intimate lobby feels like a polished, residential foyer with black-and-white marble flooring, an arched gray ceiling contrasting white walls, and blue chaise lounge anchoring the space with a pop of color. A life-sized sculpture of Amara’s white horse projects from the far wall.
Guest rooms feature a retro-glam aesthetic with a classic color palette of navy, taupe and whites with warm wood and gold accents. The Hollywood glam continues with old prints and photographs.. There are 31 spacious suites that range from 475 to 650 square feet and are outfitted with king or California king beds and queen-sized sleeper sofas.
The crowned jewel of Hotel Amarano, the revamped 1,900-square-foot Chairman’s Suite features the largest private hotel terrace in Burbank, with spectacular views of the Burbank skyline at dusk, and spacious living areas ideal for hosting press junkets, private social gatherings and executive dinners. Separate living areas allow you to sleep, work, dine and even relax in style, courtesy of state-of-the-art amenities, including the spacious terrace, private hot tub, private fitness center, 64” HDTV, and honor bar.
Thoughtful perks and amenities include complimentary car service within a three-mile radius, valet dry cleaning, pet-friendly accommodations, 24-hour room service, business services, touch-up kits for forgotten toiletries, and complimentary beach cruiser rentals.
Three refurbished meeting rooms and approximately 4,000 square feet of versatile indoor/outdoor event space can accommodate social and business gatherings.
A new bar and restaurant called FYC (“For Your Consideration”), a nod to the entertainment industry, serves globe-trotting cuisine inspired by Amara’s wanderlust. DNA Hospitality consulted on the concept, branding and menu development. Residential in feel, the polished living room aesthetic is accentuated by floor-to-ceiling bookshelves displaying Old Hollywood and Burbank memorabilia. Adorned with lush landscaping, Spanish accents and hanging lanterns, an al fresco patio serves as a picturesque venue for networking events, corporate dinners and social gatherings. FYC is available for full or partial buyouts. For more information and to make reservations, please visit reservations.visitburbank.com.
