Inkwell Tavern

924 S. San Fernando Blvd Burbank CA 91502

Inkwell Tavern is a local, upscale hangout specializing in the customer experience through craft cocktails, craft beer, a rotating wine selection, and a chef driven menu.

It’s a place where local writers, actors, and production friends can sit and have a drink and food after a long day on set. It is not uncommon to see writers sitting with a laptop and working on the next great feature or series.

Inkwell Tavern is a product of a group of friends that wanted to create a community around a bar/kitchen. The ownership also owns M.i.’s Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica.

What a great find! The space is comfortable and quiet, which means it's great for a date or when you actually want to have a real conversation with someone.

The drinks are well made and a steal on the Happy Hour menu... and the fish taco is insanely good. I would come back just for that. The Deviled Eggs were tasty but a bit on the small side, so I'd skip those.

But kudos to Eric and Max... I hope I have that right... for the wonderful drinks, good conversation and being made to feel so welcome. Don't miss this spot! Full Review

Do I prefer my old fashioned with bourbon or rye? That's the Thursday night question!

Happy Hour Specials!
$7 Old Fashioned or Mexican Daisy
$8 Army/Navy
$7 All wines
$2 off all drafts

$5 House fries
$6 Shrimp/Corn tostada
$6 Trio Deviled Eggs
$6 Grilled Fish Tacos
$6 American Egg Rolls
$8 IPA battered shrimp

Love the music! Empty (at 5pm on a Thursday), quiet and nice with a relaxing Speakeasy vibe/decor.

I had the above-mentioned old fashioned with bourbon, $7 (happy hour price) with a Fried Chicken Sandwich, $13 (choice of fries or side salad). Loved the apples in the coleslaw...

I will definitely be back!
P.S. I prefer Bourbon! Full Review

Came here on a Wednesday night. The atmosphere was really neat. It feels like a little hideaway.

Great happy hour menu. We got the fries, fried shrimp and the American egg rolls.

The fries and shrimp were really good. I'd recommend passing on the egg rolls. It was filled with chicken salad, which I thought would be really unique and delicious, but they missed the mark a bit.

The bartender did a great job. The booths were full and I was impressed at home he was able to provide table service while also tending the bar.

Definitely recommend for after work drinks! Full Review
