For millions of people around the world, the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl are iconic New Year’s Day traditions. These two events create the Tournament of Roses. The parade will begin at 8.00 AM on January 2, 2022 in Pasadena, CA just a hop, skip, and a jump from Burbank. Following the parade will be the big game featuring a traditional matchup of teams from the Big Ten and Pac-12 at the nearby Rose Bowl stadium.

THE ROSE PARADE & 110TH ROSE BOWL

From 8AM – 12PM, the Rose Parade travels 5 ½ miles down Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena, CA and features floral-decorated floats, equestrian units, bands, and Tournament Entries. This year the theme is “Turning the Corner” which celebrates the unlimited potential that each new year brings where we all enjoy the opportunity of a fresh start. The game will feature a traditional matchup of teams from the Big Ten and Pac-12. Come early and enjoy pre-game activities including tailgates, Rose Queen and Royal Court appearances, and more.

EQUESTFEST
December 29, 2022

Start off your Rose Bowl weekend with Equestfest presented by Wells Fargo at Los Angeles Equestrian Center located in Burbank. This event allows you to get up close and personal with the 2020 Rose Parade equestrian units. Watch beautiful horses and talented riders perform drills and dances and demonstrate trick riding and roping. You’ll also stroll through the stables, talk to riders and learn about the different horse breeds while enjoying the vendor court, displays, great music, and good food and drinks.

FLOATFEST
January 2-3, 2023

Open January 2 and 3, Floatfest: A Rose Parade Showcase features a 2-mile showcase of Rose Parade floats following their appearance along the parade route. Each year, nearly 70,000 visitors head to Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards in Pasadena for the chance to walk within a few feet of the floats and appreciate up close, the creativity and detail of each magnificent display. Participating float exhibitors can engage with event attendees in this event’s family-friendly, celebratory environment.

BANDFEST
December 30-31, 2022

Each year, the Rose Parade marching bands selected to participate in the upcoming Rose Parade are also invited to perform at the Tournament of Roses’s Bandfest. Over the course of two days, each marching band, along with its auxiliary members, performs a field show that showcases their musicianship and unique talents. This annual tradition takes place at Pasadena City College and all are invited to attend this dynamic event.
