Burbank: A Better Way to Stay for the 2022 MLB All-Star Week

Burbank is no stranger to hosting movie stars at its doorstep, but this summer the athletes take center stage. On July 19, the Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be played at Dodger Stadium, just a short ten-mile hop from the bustling diversity of Burbank, CA. This is the second time the Midsummer Classic has been held at Dodger Stadium with the last appearance being 1980. The event brings thousands of people from all over the country to witness the top MLB players competing against each other on a single field. Beginning in 1933, the game was originally organized to be a one-time occurrence; however, the immediate success turned a single game into a longstanding American tradition. Over the years, the game has packed on additional entertainment allowing spectators to enjoy the Celebrity Softball Game and the Homerun Derby in the days leading up to the main event. Batter up, baseball fans! It’s time to step up to the plate and experience Burbank’s limitless offerings during one of the greatest athletic events of the year.

Start your trip by flying into Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) where convenience and friendliness are a part of the airport’s 90-year reputation. With 11 airlines touching down and over 35 nonstop flights from major U.S. and Canadian cities, ease is a common companion at Hollywood Burbank Airport. Once you arrive, it’s easy to get around with eight of Burbank’s hotels offering complimentary hotel shuttle services for guests to and from BUR and the airport’s Car Rental facility and Transit Center is home to ten rental car brands and more than 1,000 rental cars. Plus, Pacific Surfliner/Amtrak services the airport with a rail stop, as does Metrolink, and the airport is served daily by METRO and BurbankBus.

Burbank boasts 18 hotels fit for all price points and personalities. Whether you’re seeking a quirky retro hotel, like the Tangerine, or a more extravagant stay at Hotel Amarano, you’ll be perfectly situated to enjoy the boundless attractions nearby. To simplify your stay, eight Burbank hotels offer complimentary shuttle services to and from BUR and to local attractions such as Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood and Universal Studios Hollywood. When it’s time for something delightfully sweet, Plush Puff will induce all your senses with their artisan hand-crafted flavored marshmallows. Castaway is a Burbank classic for good reason. Perched among the clouds above the San Fernando Valley, each seat in the stunning venue offers an extraordinary view, serving as a perfect side dish to your steak-forward main dish.
