Oh my Frenchiness!! Had yet to find a place whose croissants tasted as they do in France...this place has them! When I'm feeling melancholy about France or just long for an incredible latte and most worthy croissant this IS THE PLACE!! And the chocolate almond croissant...OH MY GOD!!! I swear they import the ingredients from France and with Lous touch ooh la la!! And you always find French natives here. This is as authentic as it gets here in the states people!! These almond croissants are AMAZING. I've only came here once, but found it super memorable! It's a really small space that can only fit maybe 3 people in the waiting area. Full Review
I couldn't believe my eyes when I first spotted Lou's--The French On The Block. It reminded me of a cafe I'd find in NY, Chicago or Boston. Not LA. Lou's French pastries are scrumptious. The cafe itself is darling. It's tiny, but when the product is this good it is okay to take them to go and eat them wherever. There is limited, French cafe-style seating out front. Lou is very nice. I wish him and his wife all the best in their business. Isn't an almond croissant calling your name? Full Review
